
ILD
Interstitial Lung Disease is a group of lung disorders that causes inflammation and scarring around the air sacs, making it harder to breathe and reduces the oxygen flow into the blood. Some symptoms often include breathlessness, dry cough, fatigue and chest discomfort. ILD may be caused by long-term exposure to harmful substances, autoimmune conditions, certain medications or sometimes has no known cause. Although it can't usually be cured, early diagnosis and the right treatment can help ease symptoms, slow its progression and enhance quality of life.
