Pulmonary Fibrosis
A long-term lung condition where the lung tissues gradually become thickened, scarred & stiff. This scarring, called fibrosis, affects the lung's ability to expand and deliver oxygen to the bloodstream, making breathing difficult. Some common symptoms include shortness of breath, a dry cough, fatigue and chest discomfort. It can be caused by things like pollution, some medicines, immune system problems or sometimes for no clear reason at all (idiopathic). Although lung scarring can’t be reversed, early diagnosis & proper treatment can help slow down the disease’s progression.
