Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which a person’s breathing repeatedly pauses and resumes while sleeping. This happens when the throat muscles relax too much or the brain fails to send proper signals to the muscles that control breathing. These interruptions in breathing can lead to poor sleep quality, loud snoring, gasping for air during sleep, daytime fatigue, morning headaches and difficulty concentrating. If left untreated, sleep apnea may lead to serious health issues like heart disease and diabetes. Timely diagnosis & treatment can greatly improve health and quality of life.
